Nippon's Vesuvius?

Sakurajima literally means the "cherry blossom's island". Because I visited in winters, couldn't find cherry blossoms -- but the volcano and surroundings had striking character, almost reminding me of Vesuvius, close to Napoli. Weird comparison? Sure!
